Referral Terms
How the YelloShelf referral program works and how partners get paid.
Last updated 7 November 2026
In short
- Share your link. When someone signs up through it, you earn 20% of everything they buy for 12 months.
- Each commission waits 7 days. If the purchase is refunded, the commission is cancelled.
- We pay on the 1st of each month through PayPal or Wise, in US dollars. No minimum, and we pay the sending fee.
- Once you are paid, we never take the money back.
- No spam, no fake accounts, no ads on the YelloShelf name, and no referring yourself.
1. What the program is
The YelloShelf referral program lets you earn money by bringing new customers to YelloShelf. It is run by Ashish Jha, Kaina, Samastipur, Bihar 848209. Email: support@yelloshelf.com. By joining, you agree to these Referral Terms in addition to our Terms of Service. If the two ever conflict about the referral program, these Referral Terms apply.
In these terms, "you" or "partner" means the person who joined the program, and "referred user" means someone who created a YelloShelf account through your link.
2. Who can join
- Anyone with a YelloShelf account who is at least 18 years old.
- You join in Settings, Referrals: you pick your link name, give a PayPal or Wise email, and accept these terms.
- One partner account per person. You may not open extra YelloShelf accounts to join more than once.
- Joining is free. You do not need to buy anything to take part.
3. Your link
- Your link looks like yelloshelf.com/r/yourname. You pick the name when you join.
- Names use 3 to 30 characters: lowercase letters, numbers and single dashes. Some names are reserved, such as names containing "yelloshelf", "support" or "admin".
- Your name cannot be changed later, because links you have already shared would stop working.
- Your name must not be offensive, pretend to be someone else, or suggest you work for YelloShelf. If it does, we may remove you from the program (see section 11).
4. Who counts as your referral
Someone becomes your referred user when all of these are true:
- They open your link.
- Within 60 days of opening it, they create a brand-new YelloShelf account in the same browser.
- They had no YelloShelf account before. Existing customers never count, even if they open your link.
- If they open two partners' links, the most recent link they opened before signing up counts.
- Each person can be a referred user for one partner only, and this never changes.
When we cannot tell it was you
Your link works by saving a small cookie in the visitor's browser (see our Cookie Policy). If they block cookies, clear them, or sign up on a different device or browser, we cannot see that they came from you, and the signup will not count. We cannot add referrals by hand afterwards, so ask people to sign up straight from your link.
5. What you earn
You earn 20% of everything your referred user buys for 12 months, including their first purchase. The 12 months start on the day they first buy. After that, you earn nothing more from them.
The 20% is worked out on the pack price before tax. Taxes such as VAT or sales tax are not included. We round down to the cent.
Example: Maria signs up through your link on 3 March and buys the $50 pack on 10 March. You earn $10.00. She buys the $100 pack on 2 August: you earn $20.00. She buys again on 15 March the next year: you earn nothing, because her 12 months ended on 10 March.
- $10 pack: you earn $2.00
- $25 pack: you earn $5.00
- $50 pack: you earn $10.00
- $100 pack: you earn $20.00
- $250 pack: you earn $50.00
- $500 pack: you earn $100.00
- $1,000 pack: you earn $200.00
- $2,000 pack: you earn $400.00
No limits
There is no limit on how many people you can refer or how much you can earn.
6. The 7-day hold
Every commission waits 7 days after the purchase, because buyers can ask for a refund during that time. You see each commission in Settings, Referrals with one of these statuses:
- In 7-day hold: the purchase happened less than 7 days ago.
- Ready: the 7 days have passed. It will be paid on the next payout day.
- Paid: we have sent you the money.
- Cancelled: the purchase was refunded, a payment dispute was lost, or the commission broke these terms.
7. Refunds and payment disputes
- If a purchase is refunded, fully or partly, before we have paid you for it, the whole commission for that purchase is cancelled.
- If the buyer opens a payment dispute or chargeback with their bank before we have paid you, the commission waits until the dispute ends. If we lose the dispute, the commission is cancelled. If we win it, the commission is paid on the next payout day.
- Once we have paid you a commission, we never take it back, whatever happens to the purchase later.
8. How and when you get paid
- We pay once a month, starting on the 1st, for every commission that is Ready on that day.
- We pay through PayPal or Wise, to the email you gave us, in US dollars.
- There is no minimum amount. If you have $2.00 ready, we send $2.00.
- We pay the fee for sending the money, so we send the full amount you earned. If your PayPal or Wise account changes it into another currency, they may charge you for that; we do not control it.
- Money can take a few days to arrive, depending on PayPal or Wise. You get an email from us when it is sent.
- Keep your payout email correct in Settings, Referrals. If you give us a wrong email and the money reaches someone else, we cannot send it again.
- If we cannot pay you on a payout day (for example, your PayPal or Wise account cannot receive money), the amount waits and is added to the next payout.
9. Taxes
You are responsible for any tax on what you earn and for reporting it where you live. We do not take tax out of your payouts. If the law requires us to collect tax details from you, we will ask, and we may hold payouts until you give them.
10. What is not allowed
To keep the program fair, you must not:
- Refer yourself. This includes creating a second account, using another email you own, or paying with your own card or PayPal for a "referred" account. Purchases that look like your own earn nothing.
- Create fake accounts or pay or reward people just to sign up or buy.
- Send spam: unwanted emails, direct messages or comments, or posting your link where it is not allowed.
- Make false or misleading claims about YelloShelf, its prices, its features or its results.
- Offer discounts, coupons or deals that YelloShelf does not offer, or list your link on coupon or deal sites.
- Run paid ads that bid on "YelloShelf" or similar words, or use YelloShelf in ad text, domain names or social media names in a way that looks official.
- Say or suggest that you work for YelloShelf or speak for it.
- Hide or change where a click came from, or use any trick to place the cookie without someone choosing to open your link.
Telling people you earn from your link
When you share your link, make clear that you earn money if people buy, for example with "affiliate link" or "I earn a commission". Many countries require this by law.
11. If you break these terms
If you break any part of section 10, or these terms in any other way, we may remove you from the program. When you are removed, your link stops working and all money that has not been paid yet, including Ready money, is cancelled. Money we already paid you stays yours. You get an email straight away telling you why. Your YelloShelf account itself keeps working. If you think we made a mistake, reply to that email.
12. Deleting your account
If you delete your YelloShelf account, you leave the program. All money that has not been paid yet, including Ready money, is lost. We warn you about this before you confirm. If you want that money, wait until the next payout day before deleting your account.
If one of your referred users deletes their account, the commissions you have already earned from them are not affected.
13. Your data
We use your link name and payout email only to run the program and pay you. Your partner page shows dates, packs and amounts, never who your referred users are. Our Privacy Policy explains the rest.
14. Questions
Email support@yelloshelf.com with any question about the referral program or a payout.
